The idea to listen for

Export settings determine the file, but the rendered content still needs review. A wrong start marker can omit an entrance; a short end marker can cut a tail; a muted return can change the arrangement. Reimporting or playing the export outside the session reveals these problems without relying on the workstation’s state. Keep the intended delivery requirements in view and avoid inventing a universal format for every use.

Set up a fair comparison

Try the exercise

  1. Check the requested format, sample rate and bit depth for the intended destination. Confirm start and end boundaries before rendering.
  2. Play the resulting file from its beginning and across at least one transition. Listen for missing parts, abrupt changes or clipping artifacts.
  3. Review the final tail and inspect the file’s basic properties. Keep a clearly named approved version separate from earlier tests.

If the result is not working

If the export differs from playback, inspect muted tracks, return routing and automation at the render boundary. If the ending is cut, extend the range and render again rather than merely appending silence afterward.

A closer listening check

Would the first and final moments make sense to someone who never saw your session? The exported file is the experience being delivered, so its actual content matters more than the render dialog reporting success.
